I'm Meg Ilsley, a graphic designer who is passionate about website design, publication design, typography, logos and branding, and photography. I am a firm believer in accessibility and breaking down barriers in design to make content more inclusive. Thus, every design I create takes into consideration key aspects of accessibility, in addition to ensuring it will stand the test of time and still be versatile enough to adapt to our changing world. I do not believe in stagnation; adaptation is important. With new innovations daily, and new technological advancements making life easier, one must approach design with the intent to continue their education at every opportunity.

Outside of work and study, I am a proud Australian who grew up in Western Australia and moved to Canada in 2013 where I began building a life and a career. I am a passionate animal lover, owned by four rescue kitties and one ball python, and I couldn't imagine life without their antics. Prior to receiving formal education in graphic design, I was self taught in various aspects of graphic and website design, and sought to further my passion through education. I have spent much of my life learning what I can, surrounded by creativity, and I find my life all the richer for it.

Since moving to Canada, I've had the opportunity to work in a number of industries, including the healthcare, hospitality, and government sectors. My experience in these industries has given me insight into how they are run, allowed me to mentor and be mentored by some amazing individuals, and allowed me to further my skills in design. I have also had the opportunity to further skills in creative writing, editing, supervision, time management, and organisation, and to see the unique perspectives of people from different backgrounds and experiences.
